Lexi is Two Years Old!

April 24, 2012 in Categories, Children

I can’t believe how much hair this little girl has at just two years old.  My children were still almost bald at two!  She was a ball of energy but so sweet.  Happy Birthday Lexi!

It has been ages since I posted.  It was a crazy busy holiday season, which was great but I needed to catch my breath afterwards!

This session was from the fall, on a chilly day.  Look at those blonde curls!!

Lemonade and Strawberries

July 29, 2011 in Children, Slide, Summer

I have been planning a shoot with this dress for ages.  It was going to going to have cowboy boots and a log cabin but I couldn’t cowboy boots that I liked.  During my search I found this quilt and basket instead and changed the whole concept.  I will be using this set up for my summer mini sessions in August.

You can find out more information about the summer mini sessions here.

Ollie & Bess

April 21, 2011 in Children, Slide

I had a great shoot with this family.  The kids were so cute and fun.  One of the girls thought we should put her pictures in a magazine… a little model in the making.  All the clothes are from Ollie & Bess, a great online store for classic, timeless kids clothes!

After the deforestation caused by a new highway, this old abandoned farm was uncovered. We went on a little adventure through the rubble.

A crazy session!

September 14, 2010 in Children

This session was crazy. Mama B called and said it is raining in Gaithersburg. In all my wisdom, I replied, “Oh, don’t worry, it’s not raining in Rockville, let’s still do it!” So we got to the lovely mansion and photographed on their beautiful grounds for about 7 minutes before the torrential downpour started. Mama B and I were huddled under a dense tree in a small 3 foot patch of dry while the kids ran around and got soaked and splashed in puddles. They had a blast! I got my camera out again after the rain stopped and took some fun images that really embody these children. Thankfully, Mama was a good sport and saw the humor in the situation! What a fun time!

Four legged friends

April 29, 2010 in Four legged friends

This is a picture I took with my junkie point and shoot. The sky was awesome looking as a storm was blowing in. I ran to the car for my camera and took a few shots but nothing came out as I had envisioned because all I had was my little camera that I keep in my purse. But I still liked this one because of the angle and the way you see one horse in the background under the first. Skip, in the back, is actually a lot bigger than Tiger Lily (a pony), in the front. This shows some of the post production that can be done to make a snapshot into something interesting.
